Beto Carrero World is an amusement park in Penha, Santa Catarina that will awaken the little kid in you. Spread in an area of 14 kilometers, it is the biggest theme park in Latin America and considered as world’s sixth best amusement park. It is the brainchild of a Brazilian businessman – Beto Carrero who set it up in 1991. In 2012, the place partnered with DreamWorks Animation and Universal Studios, which enabled it to feature their characters. The Madagascar Circus Show began as a result of this partnership and today is a fav amongst the kids.
There are more than 100 rides across the park, including 3 water rides. A spree on its roller coaster or a walk through the dark passages are sure to get you screaming, while paddle boating and journey on the mini train show you a more subtle side of fun. The park is divided into 9 sections, each having a unique theme. Some sections are dedicated to characters from Dreamworks Animation, some have mini castles erected for kids, while some are meant for infotainment.
