Li River is also referred as Lijiang. It is a river located in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China. The river is known to cover the long route of 83 kilometres / 52 mi. The river flows all the way from Guilin to Yangshuo. During the Li River cruise, one can enjoy the beautiful sights of vast expanse of water and karst mountains undulating all over.
Li River starts from Mao'er Mountains located in Xing'an County. It flows towards the southern direction and makes through many water troves such as Pingle, Guilin and Yangshuo. When it reaches Pingu, the river gets merged with Gongcheng River and Lipu River. From there it treads south and descends into the Xi Jiang. Xi Jiang is Pearl River’s western tributary.
River Li’s upper course is joined by Lingqu Canal along with Xiang River. Wherever the river flows it is surrounded by verdant hills. At Li River, the tourists can enjoy cruises. The boats or ships that sail in the river are boats of small bamboo rafts, larger boats and air-conditioned ships.
