One of the top tourist attractions in China, the Terracotta Warriors epitomize the army that triumphed over all other Chinese armies. It is one of the most magnificent archaeological sites in the world with more than 7,000 life-size statues of soldiers, weapons and chariots in a war formation. The first emperor Qin ordered the creation of the Terracotta Warriors to be buried with him. It epitomized his glory and also remembered the army that triumphed over every other Chinese army. The Terracotta Army museum is a must see place for history enthusiasts.
The museum mainly comprises of the three vaults and an exhibition hall. Vault one is the size of an airplane hangar and it is the most impressive out of the three vaults. It has more than 6,000 terracotta soldiers and horses. The amazing thing is that every figure has different facial expressions, hairstyles, gestures, clothing, etc. The second vault showcases rigorous battle formations consisting of archers, weapons, cavalry, etc.
The third vault comprises of only 68 soldiers without heads and it is the smallest one. This vault represents the command post. The bronze chariots discovered 20 meters from the tomb are beautifully showcased in the exhibition hall. You can also buy gifts from the numerous souvenir shops around the museum.
