Alexandria National Museum is a three level conceptualized building of Italian style. The first level is dedicated to the Pharaonic era and has walls of dark blue color. This is the color of afterlife in Egyptian culture. Distinguished statues, notable portraits are some of the important pieces of the first level. The second level depicts the period when Alexandria flourished the most and that is the Graeco Roman period. Greek women figurines and recently found underwater artifacts are the most interesting things to observe at this level. The third and the top most floor of Alexandria National Museum is a treasure house of Islamic as well as Coptic culture. In all, visitors are sure to experience a three-phased Egyptian cultural and historic development through this Alexandria National Museum.
