Akanda National Park, being one of the thirteen national parks of Gabon, Africa, plays an important role in the ecosystem of Gabon. It is also a representation of the rich biodiversity of Gabon along with the other twelve national parks. Both the bays of Corisco and Mondah along the Akanda National Park are full of varied marine life. Akanda is an internationally known habitat for different migratory birds. Mangroves covering the largest portion of the national park, make Akanda National Park a naturally beautiful place. All these features have always been successful in attracting the tourists of Gabon in large numbers.
