One cannot help but admire the courage of the founders of this magnificent monolith known as the Indian Railways, which was instrumental in crossing great rivers by building grand bridges or supporting the Indian Army during times of war. All 37 sea facing rooms at the Chanakya BNR are equipped with customised art work from the glorious Indian Railway and have been furnished keeping in mind the heritage nature of the property. Apart from the vintage design room furniture, the rooms truly take you back in time yet provide all amenities desired by today’s traveller. Space is not a constraint in these palatial rooms and each room is of a different size depending on which part of the building one might find oneself in.

The Royal Saloon - Indulge in the luxury of this two bed room suite. The view of the sea and the surrounding greenery from the private verandas is simply breathtaking. When you enter this suite you will see the art work of a train which was specially designed for the Prince and Princess of which they used during their journey in in the year 1905. The interiors of these rooms are done up in a Classic Colonial Contemporary style, with all the modern amenities. The Princely State Railways - Situated in the vintage part of the building these 7 rooms are designed for the connoiseus. Each room has a different wall colour scheme subtly matched with its upholstery and wooden flooring. These first floor luxury rooms give one the exclusive privacy that is required to enjoy the long corridors as well as the sea view from the Chanakya BNR hotel. The rooms are equipped with high speed internet along with custom made furniture adding to their royal decor.
