Huchimalli Temple is a seventh-century temple in Aihole. It was built under the reign of the Chalukya dynasty and is the earliest example that reveals the modern architecture adopted by the Chalukya clan. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and boasts the images of different Hindu religious figurines like Lord Vishnu, Lord Brahma, and other with their vehicles.

1) Huchimalli Temple was constructed during the onset of the architectural modernization in Chalukya era. This temple is renovated with Hindu deity carved on the shikhara and a front porch.
2) It also mentions the valor of the great Chalukyan King Vijayadithya and can be seen inscribed on walls.
3) The main feature of Huchimalli Temple was its architecture. It was the first temple that has the ceiling carved from the inner side in the history of the temples found in Karnataka and nearby states.
4) The noteworthy sculptures like Lord Ayyappa with his peacock, the holy trinity with their respective vehicles, and much more can be seen inside the temple.
