Ana Sagar Lake is a historical man-made lake in Ajmer. It was built somewhere between 1135-1150 AD by the grandfather of Prithviraj Chauhan, Anaji Chauhan. It spans an entire area of 13 km. and has a capacity of storing the water up to 4.75 cubic million. In the previous times, this lake was built for fulfilling the requirement of water in the region but now, it serves as a tourist attraction and a recreational site for the visitors.
