For the ones who don't know, Dargah Sharif or Ajmer Sharif is the tomb of a Sufi saint named Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti. He came to Ajmer from Persia in the year 1192. Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Hasan Chishti holds a special place amidst the spiritual healers of the world. People belong to all religions, castes, or creeds come here and offer a traditional 'chadar' to seek blessings Sufi saint. Nothing can beat the 'qawwali' at Khwaja Garib Nawaz Dargah that has some enchanted supremacy that hardly leaves any member of the audience un-touched. Moreover, the mighty kings of India, both Muslim and Hindu, have paid their visit to this great holy place.
Architecture:
Khwaja Garib Nawaz Dargah, Ajmer is built with white marble having 11 arches and a Persian inscription running through the full length of the building. In addition to this, the marble dome and the actual tomb inside is encircled by a silver platform. At this place, hundreds of pilgrims come to pay their homage on the death anniversary of the saint.
Festival:
There is an annual Urs, a six-day festival, which is held during Rajab, the seventh month of the lunar calendar each year. During this time, one can witness the true harmonious character of the holy place.
Best Time to Visit:
The best time to visit the shrine is from the month of October to the month of March. It is that same time of the year when the famous Urs Fair is going on. At this time of the year, the Dargah is decorated gorgeously. No doubt visiting Ajmer Sharif Dargah will be worth everyone’s while.

It is suggested to gather some information about Khwaja Garib Nawaz well in advance, in order to make the most of your visit to such a holy sufi shrine. Moreover, the administration department of the shrine can arrange your Hazree on pocket-friendly charges. Also, in case you are not allowed to do any Mannat personally, the officials of the shrine can offer prayers on your behalf. Garib Nawaz Dargah, Ajmer also offers Taweez as a blessing for work, business, and protection from negative energies.
