The history of the Lake For Sagar declares that it was erected as a Famine Relief Project in the year 1892 in Ajmer. It was constructed by an Englishman. It is also to be noted here that the beautiful lak got its name from the famous engineer’s name, Mr. Foy, under whose supervision it was constructed to cope up with the scarcity of water in the city.
