Manasbal Lake is a beautiful tourist attraction in Ganderbal district of Kashmir. It rests 30 km from the main town of Srinagar and is blessed with the scenic surroundings. It is a famous water body and is said to be the deepest lake in Kashmir with a depth of 43 feet. Tourists are often spotted taking delight in the shikara boat-ride.

Manasbal Lake is famous due to its surrounding. It has the backdrop of the snow-clad Himalayas and green vegetation on its banks. Tourists are never disappointed by visiting this lake because of the charm and activities that take place there.
Many sellers choose this lake for selling their items to the tourists. If not the regular boat ride then motor-boats are also available for tourists. On the eastern shores of the lake, there are some Hindu temples located that date back to the 800 A.D and reflect the marvelous architecture of the ancient Kashmir.
Best Time To Visit:-
The best time for visiting Manasbal Lake is between July-October. It is the apt period for relishing the fun of boating as well as bird watching. This lake is a habitat for different birds like the goose, swan, pheasant, waterfowl etc. March-April is the best period for observing the avifauna closely.
