Located around 15kms away from Bathinda, on the way to Muktsar, is a forest that shelters an ancient Gurudwara which holds utmost importance to the Sikhs. It is believed that Guru Nanak Devji delivered one lakh holy sermons or holy paths to his disciple Shri Japuli Sahib; hence, giving the jungle its unique name Lakhi Jungle. In fact, Guru Teg Bahadur, the 9th Sikh Guru, and Guru Gobind Singh, the 10th Sikh Guru has also made this place pious with his holy visit. Sikh devotees make it a point to visit this place on their way to Muktsar or whenever they visit Bathinda owing to its sacred connections with Sikhism.
