Gaurishankar Lake is a well-known lake in the Indian state of Gujarat. It is a reservoir that was built in the bygone times. It is situated on the edges of the famous Victoria Park. Gaurishankar Lake is famous because of different reasons. According to the historical texts, the King Takhatsinh was a strong follower of Lord Shiva-Parvati and named it as Gaurishankar Lake. The main purpose of the construction of this lake was to fulfill the water requirements. Slowly, this place became popular as a picnic spot.

Do not create a mess by throwing any garbage or leftovers in the lake. Disposing of the garbage in the lake is an offense and a heavy fine is imposed on the offenders. Thus, be careful and throw the trash in the waste-bins.
