Jagannath Temple Bokaro

The Jagannath Temple of Bokaro (Jharkhand, India) was built as per the actual architectural layout of Jagannath Temple of Puri (Orissa). The temple is a brainchild of the Bokaro Steel Plant Management, who recently built it with an aim to promote tourism in Bokaro. Today, a number of devotees of Lord Jagannath visit the temple site to pay their respect to the deity, making this temple one of the major attractions of the Bokaro city.

The best time to visit the temple is when the Ratha Yatra takes place. The temple administration arranges for Ratha Yatra once a year, in which the idols of Balabhadra, Subhadra and Jagannath are taken in a chariot that is pulled by a number of devout people.
