Founded by Vanraj Chavda, the ruler of Chavda dynasty, Champaner is a town located in the Indian state of Gujarat. This city was named after Champaraj, the army general in Chavda Empire. It is said that the city of Champaner was rebuilt many times in the past as it was invaded and destroyed by the Muslim rulers. At present, Champaner is a historical city & is visited by a large number of tourists.
Unfolded over acres of land, Champaner is blessed with rich vegetation. It is hemmed by the beguiling forests that are a home to exuberant fauna. Such amazing surroundings classify the climate of Champaner as tropical wet in nature. During the summer season, the median temperature touches 39°C and falls down at 14°C during the winters. Champaner receives an ample amount of rainfall with 3000 mm annually.
