History
A legend is famous about the formation of the temple. A long time ago, in the village of Asota, Rajasthan a farmer was plowing land. Suddenly he felt that some objects had collided while plowing. He minded this and start digging that zone of the land. He found the idol of Balaji while digging. The farmer was too glad and before eating, he offered Churma of Bajra to Balaji. From that time to the present, it is a ritual that to offer Bajra Churma to Balaji.

Salasar Balaji lies in the Churu district and in the summer it becomes hot. If you want to moderate the temperature then the best time to visit is between October to April.

The temple gets open at 04:30 AM. Mangal Aarti starts at 05:00 AM. Rajbhog For Balaji Maharaj is organized at 10:30 AM. Dhoop and Mohandas Aarti at 06:00 PM. Evening Aarti of Balaji at 07:30 PM. Bal Bhog at 08:15 PM. Night Aarti at 10:00 PM.
