There many magnificent forts and temples in the district, and which are known for their design and architecture. One can make visit to Tallapaaka, which is the birth place of Hindu saint, Taḷḷapāka Annamācārya. Gandikota is also a popular historical site and havens many historical monuments. The site has been used for shooting films like Maryada Ramanna, Ek Veera and Super Cowboy etc. The other places to visit in the district are Sri Kodadanda Swamy temple, Anjaneya Swamy temple, Sree Veerabadra Swamy temple etc.
