Birsa Munda Park is a park in Dhanbad district that was built not only to provide recreational facilities to the people but also the employment opportunities to the locals. Since its inauguration in November 2009, the park has been aggressively maintained to boost tourism in the vicinity. The well-planned landscapes and stunningly laid pavements make this park attractive, which people admire for its sheer beauty. The park is developed over a land measuring 21 acres, where plenty of arrangements for kids as well as adults has been made within the park like joggers' track, toy train, playground etc.
Things to remember while visiting
The park remains open twice a day in 2 slots. The first slot can be said between 6 am to 8 am, in which there are absolutely no entry charges for the public. The second slot starts at 9 am till 7 pm, during which one needs to pay an entry fee as per below applicable tariff:
Monday to Friday:
· Kids (up to 5 yrs. of age) – Free
· Kids (from 5 yrs. to 12 yrs.) – Rs 5
· Adults (above 12 yrs.) – Rs 15
Saturday & Sunday:
· Kids (up to 5 yrs. of age) – Free
· Kids (from 5 yrs. to 12 yrs.) – Rs 10
· Adults (above 12 yrs.) – Rs 20
