A popular tribal festival, Baneshwar Fair, is held at the Baneshwar Temple every year. This tribal festival is held in the month of February from Magh Shukla Ekadasi to Magh Shukla Purnima, which attracts a large number of tourists and devotees from all across the nation. They visit this temple on this occasion to offer their prayers to the deity. On this religious occasion, Bhils (a tribal group) travel all the way from Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh to take a holy bath at the confluence of the rivers Som and Mahi. This fair has been said as the Kumbh Mela for the tribals. Tourists can also enjoy a glimpse of the local tribal culture during this fair.
