The Government Zoo, primarily known as the Mini Zoo, is one of the tourist attractions in Gulbarga district. Though it doesn’t lie in the list of the must-see destination, it still manages to capture the attention of numerous visitors from different corners of the city. This zoo is a great place to enjoy a good quality time with kids due to the presence of the various mammals.
It Is Known For:-
1) The Government Zoo of Gulbarga was established in the year 1988. After some years, a Children’s Park was developed adjacent to it.
2) This zoo is an amazing place for spending a day’s itinerary with kids.
3) There are different animals present in this zoo. The wildcat, giraffe, common langur, hawk, eagle, peacock, and much more can be seen here.
4) The zoo also has a separate section for the reptiles that provides a shelter to crocodiles and gharials.
5) Adjacent to this zoo is located park for the children. It is a well-maintained place managed by the Forest Department of Gulbarga and food items are available here.

Government Zoo Gulbarga is a remarkable landmark and is visited by the locals and tourists alike. This place welcomes everyone throughout the year but the best time for visiting the zoo is during the pleasant weather. October-January is the right season as it is the time when the weather is pleasant for the animals and visitors.

Watch Out!
Each visitor is expected to follow the rules of the zoo. No one is allowed to feed and tease the animals. The culprits can be fined for the misdeed.
