Gulmarg is a serene hill station that is shrouded by majestic Himalayas and profuse green meadows. This beautiful place rests in arms of the Indian state of Jammu & Kashmir. Originally, it was named Gaurimarg by the local shepherds in honor of Goddess Parvati. The place was frequented by Mughal ruler Sultan Yusuf Shah of Chak dynasty and his queen Habba Khaatoon.
