Assam State Museum is a famous travel destination in Guwahati. It was established in 1940 by Assam Research Society. Mr. Kanklal Baruah was its founder president and in the year 1953, the government took over the control of this museum. Watch Out!
No visitor is allowed to click pictures of the artifacts displayed in the museum galleries. There are certain exhibits that are exclusive to this museum and hence, the management doesn’t allow the guests to click pictures. However, the pictures can be clicked outside the premises of the museum.
