Hazaribagh Jheel (also Hazaribagh Lake) is more than a century old marvel in the Hazaribagh district (Jharkhand, India), which was built during the British rule in India. The Englishmen constructed this wonderful engineering art in the year 1831, when they were constructing the Hazaribagh jail. This lake lies in the vicinity of Hazaribagh historical jail and it serves as a major source of water supply to the nearby areas. The conservation of water in the Hazaribagh Lake has been done since the time it was constructed.

One of the best times to reach Hazaribagh district is the period between the October and March months. The weather during this period remains pleasant as temperature remains under 30 degrees Celcius mark and humidity remains minimal.
