In order to preserve the tribal culture and heritage of the Jharkhand state, Bulu Imam (an environmental activist) had laid the foundation stone of Sanskriti Museum & Art Gallery in the year 1991 at Hazaribagh district. The museum establishment is based upon the discovery of first rock-art of Hazaribagh, including meso-chalcolithic rock-arts, which eventually highlighted the magnificence of the primitive archaeology of the North Karanpura Valley in Jharkhand.

The weather of Hazaribagh remains pleasant during the months from October to March. This period marks the winter season, in which the temperature remains cool and the mercury doesn’t shoot beyond 30 Degree Celsius mark.

The museum & art gallery is located in Dipugarha, which easily reachable from an electric rickshaw (also E-rickshaw) or manual rickshaw.
