Jispa is a small village located in Lahaul district of Himachal Pradesh. It is surrounded by the southern hills of Himalayan ranges and houses less populace. It is the road-head to Leh & Ladakh. The travelers heading towards Leh & Ladakh halt at this beautiful village for refreshment. At present, this village is on the path of development.
With an elevation of 10,500 feet, Jispa is entrenched along the banks of Bhaga River. It is beckoned by the Himalayan hills that maintain a cool climate in Jispa. This place hardly gets searing summers and there’s no chance for the mercury level to rise above 15 degrees during whole summer season. With the onset of winters, the temperature begins to drop and stays below zero degrees and brings snowfall.
Since Jispa is very less inhabited, there are very less tourist destinations present there. One can wander around the village or amid hilly terrains; however, a famous monastery is the prime attraction in Jispa.
