Located 8kms away from the Blue City Jodhpur is an old-water reservoir turned popular picnic spot called Balsamand Lake. It is an artificial lake which was constructed in 1159 was used to supply water to the people of Mandore. The lake is fringed with lush greenery and the cascading waterfalls to water the garden make this lake a true sight to behold. The garden around the lake has lovely rose beds and various fruit trees like guava, pomegranate, and mango.

Best Time To Visit:-
Owing to the biting heat of the summers, Balsamand Lake is not the perfect place for summer retreats. Months from October to February are the best months to visit this serene location. The best time to enjoy the most here would be during the evenings due to the cool breeze blowing around.
