Situated at an altitude of 6150 feets, Joshimath is the gateway to many Himalyan mountain climbing expeditions, trekking trails and pilgrim centers like Badrinath. The city is the heart of Chamoli district of the Indian state Uttrakhand. Also, it is the base station for tourists going to Guru Gobind Ghat or valley of Flowers National Park.
Jooshimath is the hub of many tourist attractions that are known for their aesthetic charm and picturesque view. As the base of Kauri Pass Treks, Joshimath attracts adventure travelers all around the year. The ideal time to visit Joshimath is during April to November, as here one experiences mild temperature, nearly 20°C during these times.
