The Park covers an area of around 141sq.kms, which abounds in natural vegetation. The height of the Park varies from place to place and may vary between 1700m to 4300m. The chief attractions of the Park are the two steep ridges that surround the park. The park abounds in large number of ravines, alpine pastures, wooded slopes, rocky outcrops etc. The Masrar Lake located at a height of 4300m in the Park is the chief source of the river Dachigam. The winter season is the ideal time for visiting the place.
