Kondagaon is a small town located in the Jagdalpur district of Chhattisgarh. It came into existence in the year 2012 after the bifurcation of Bastar. This place is best known for the tribal crafts that have tagged Kondagaon as the craft city of Chhattisgarh.
Kondagaon is hoisted at an altitude of 593 meters above the sea level. The major area of its land is covered with the tropical forests. These woods are a home to a wider variety of fauna in Chhattisgarh. The climate of this place is described as tropical in nature. Since Kondagaon isn't a big place, there are limited tourist attractions located there. The hillocks on the outskirts of the town are the only tourist site that can be visited for spending some time amid nature.
