Emanating from the southern tip of the Western Ghats at Agastyar Koodam, Karmana River is a well-known river that flows through Karmana, a suburb located in Thiruvananthapuram. This river has various tributaries and the largest tributary of this river is Killiyar that flows for a distance of 24 kilometers. Being the longest tributary, it is the place where various temples are located along its banks. The renowned temples include the names like Attukal Temple and Padmanabhaswamy Temple.
