Mananchira is a man-made freshwater pond. It spans an entire area of 3.49 acres and is fed by the waters of a natural spring located nearby. Initially, it was built as a bathing pool for the Zamorin but later on, it was transformed into a freshwater pool. A park bearing the same name was built near the lake and was named Mananchira Square. It became an important landmark and was utilized as a sports ground, mainly for conducting the football matches. However, it was stopped because it hampered the beauty of the garden.
