Standing on the shoreline of the Laccadive Sea, Thikkoti Lighthouse is a major and one of the most visited attractions in Kozhikode. It is a 108 feet high lighthouse and was built in the year 1847. Though this lighthouse is not functional at present, it is still visited by a large number of vacationers.

The best time to visit Thikkoti Lighthouse is throughout the year, but you have to exclude monsoons from your bucket list. During monsoons, tides occur at this place and it is not considered safe for tourists. The duration between mid-September-March is the right time to spot the migratory birds and trying angling.
