Constructed by Achyutaralayu, the step-brother of the King Krishna Deva Raya, Kondareddy Burz is a historical landmark in the city of Kurnool. It is also known by the name of Kurnool Fort. In the previous times, Kondareddy Burz served as a watchtower for the military. Presently, this landmark stands in a semi-ruined condition but has not lost the charm to attract visitors.

3) The fort of Gadwal is exactly 52 km. away from Kondareddy Burz, however, the government of Andhra Pradesh closed this tunnel passage permanently in 1901
