The word ‘Raman’ means ‘to play’ and ‘Reti’ denotes sand and the sand of this sacred place is blessed by the feet of Laddu Gopal (baby Krishna). Being a spot used by Lord Krishna for doing playful activities with his elder brother BLord Balram and friends, Raman Reti holds high regard in the hearts of Braj people. It is also believed that Lord Krishna used to meet Radhaji in Raman Reti before heading to Vrindavan with her.

• Deer and bird Sanctuary-
Witness the flora and fauna of this enchanting sanctuary nestled close to the spot of Raman Reti. This sanctuary accommodates a number of deers, emus, and swans that eat and play. The sight of ducks and swans floating the ponds is a true delight for the visitors.
• Shri Udaseen Karshni Ashram-
This Ashram has a large pool which is widely used for bathing purpose. It is located adjacent to the Seer and bird Sanctuary in Raman Reti. It holds Raman Bihariji Temple which accommodates the glorious statue of Lord Krishna and Goddess Radhaji. Devotees from all over the globe visit this temple to offer prayers to the Lord.

History
It is believed that Sain Gyandasji Maharaj founded Raman Reti. He used to meditate and offer prayers to the Lord in the shrine developed by him.

• Raman Reti is developed in the form of a village and has a number of residential houses. Most of the sages in Mathura reside in these complexes.
• Before 1978, the whole of Raman Reti was filled with sand and was dotted with a number of Peepal and Kadamb trees. It is believed that Lord Krishna used to climb the Kadamb trees and play the melodious flute by sitting on the branches.
• A few kilometers from the Raman Reti is a place named Mahavan, where the popular Muslim poet Rakshan is buried. The profound devotion of Rakshan for Lord Krishna is well-famous and talked about in Braj.
