At Nagarjunakonda one can explore the beautiful remains of chaityas, mandapas, exquisite white marble carvings and various sculpture that showcase the life of Buddha. The town is mostly visited by the pilgrims as it is home to stupas of the ancient times.
One can explore the beautiful sculptures housed in these stupas overwhelmingly. Mahachaitya, the main stupa can be visited to see the sacred relics of the Budha.
Nagarjunakonda is famous for its scenic views that undulate on the valley and that can be savoured from the viewing area near the dam. The town is also embellished by cascading waterfalls. One can visit the breath-taking Ethipothala Falls, which flows down 22 m into the azure lagoon where one can spot many crocodiles. The Srisailam wildlife sanctuary and a Project Tiger reserve are located near to the water fall and one can digitally capture many animals, birds and reptiles, and enjoy the natural surroundings.
The site of historical and religious significance, Srisailam is located on the coast of Krishna in the Nallamala Hills. Srisailam is also haven to Mallikarjuna Swamy, Brahmaramba, Uma Maheshwara and Saraswati temples.
