History:
Fitzgerald bridge is located near the Bund garden, which also popular with the name Bund garden bridge. it was incepted in the year 1867 by the British government which was the first bridge in India to be constructed in spandrel arc structure. It connected Pune with Bundi Garden and China Garden. The designer and constructor of the bridge were Captain Robert Sellon. He was a part of the royal engineers. The entire cost of the construction was 2 lakh rupees of that time! It lies over the Mula-Mutha river and has two Medici Lion at its both ends.

Summer remains very hot and humid here. You can visit during monsoon if you love rain while traveling. In fact, various colorful umbrellas are noticed here on the garden chairs during this season.
