Chilika Lake is a famous water body in the Indian state of Odisha. This lake flows through the districts of Puri, Ganjam, and Khurda. It is a large brackish water lagoon in the Indian subcontinent and one of the most important wetlands in the world. It offers shelter to a variety of avifauna. Over 160 species of birds, including the migratory birds, can be spotted at Chilika Lake. At present, it attracts a large number of visitors from the different corners of the country.
