Raigarh is a city in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh. In the bygone times, it served as the capital of the princely state of Raigarh but was annexed and merged with the Indian union. It is emerging as an industrial town because of the continuous developments. It also houses the Mohan Mill, the oldest jute mill in India.
Perched on the banks of Kelo River, Raigarh is hoisted at an elevation of 705 feet above sea level. It cascades an area of 7,086 sq. km. The climate of Raigarh is tropical in nature. The summers experience an average temperature of 35°C whereas, in winters, the mercury level sits on 16°C on an average respectively.
Raigarh offers many places of interest that can be visited by the people. It includes the places like Pahad Mandir, Ram Jharna, Teepa Khol, Maa Chandrasini Devi Temple, Banjari Mandir and Gomarda Wildlife Sanctuary.
