Ganapatipule Temple, also known as Swayambhu Ganesha Mandir, is a pilgrimage site in the district of Ratnagiri. It is a temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha that houses a self-manifested idol of the elephant-headed god. According to a legend, a Brahmin cowherd discovered the idol of Lord Ganesha after having a vision. The milk from his cow’s udder was flowing on the spot where the idol was buried. He took out the idol, constructed a temple, and named it Ganapatipule. Today, Ganapatipule is visited on a huge scale by the devotees of the Lord.

2) The entire temple is built out of the white sand in the Hindu style of architecture.
3) The aarti takes place three times on a daily basis. The first aarti takes place at 5 am in the morning, the second one at 12 noon, and the final at 7 pm in the noon.
4) The festivals of Ganesh Chaturthi and Vinayaki Chaturthi are celebrated here with a great zest
