Also known by the name of Sriranganathaswamy Temple, this Hindu temple doesn’t require detailed introduction. Ranganathaswamy Temple is an ancient temple and is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. He is worshiped here in the form of Sri Ranganathaswamy. According to the thorough research of ASI, this temple dates back to 984 A.D. Its foundation was laid by a local priest and in the 12th century, the temple was further modified under the rule of the Hoysalas.

4) It has the walls, pillars, gates, and ceiling adorned with motifs and carved exquisitely.
5) The main sanctum houses the idol of the Lord Ranganathaswamy and it is made up of the black marble.
6) Vaikuntha Ekadashi is a key festival that is celebrated here with a great zest.

There are some rules & regulations that should be followed while entering the temple. All devotees are expected to wear decent attire that covers their body. Neither the items made up of leather are allowed in the shrine premises nor clicking pictures.
