Mundanthurai Wildlife Sanctuary is located in Tirunelveli district. The sanctuary comprises of various hills like Anaimalai Hills, Nilgiri Hills etc. that adds to the beauty of the place. The sanctuary is also famous for the Agasthyamalai falls, which is considered as an important place for plant diversity in India.
The place receives a maximum rainfall of around 9000mm and a minimum of 1000mm. The sanctuary is rich in natural cover that comprises of tropical forests, dry deciduous forests and moist evergreen forests etc.
Fauna- Mundanthurai Wildlife Sanctuary is a home to various animals like sloth bear, sambhar, brown palm civet, tiger, slender loris, brown mongoose, wild dog, langurs and many more. The only thing that makes it different from Kalakkadu Sanctuary is that here you won.
