Dera Baba Bharbhag Singh, Una is a popular Gurudwara of Himachal Pradesh. It is also famously known as Gurudwara Manji Sahib. Thousands of Sikh disciples visit here every year to collect the blessings of Baba Bharbhag Singh who constructed this Gurudwara. And, he dedicated it to the son of Guru Baba Ram Singh, Baba Gurbarbhag Singh. He was also the great-grandson of Guru Hargovind Singh, the sixth Guru of the Sikhs.
Traveler Tips:
You can stay here at the PWD guest house at affordable rates. But pre-bookings are necessary for the peak seasons i.e. during the Baba Bharbhag Singh Mela due to the heavy rush of tourists. You can also stay at the Gurudwara Sarai if rooms are available.
Festival:
A few popular fairs are organized here during February and March including Hola Mahalla Fair and Baba Bharbhag Singh Mela. These are celebrated in the respect of Bharbhag ji. Many people of different casts visit here this time to cure their mental health and to diminish the effects of black magic.
Best Time to Visit:
Shivalik ranges used to experience heavy rainfall. So, if you are a tourist only for Gurudwara Manji Sahib, you may skip the monsoon i.e. the months of July – August, for planning a trip here.
As the Gurudwara remains in the hilly border areas of Bilaspur, Kangra, and Hamirpur, the entire area remains too hot throughout the summer, so you can skip the summer season i.e. between the months of September – October, and April – June also for making a visit here.
The best time to visit Gurudwara Manji Sahib is during winter i.e. between November and March. Multiple fairs are celebrated here during February and March, and Dera Baba Bharbhag Singh witnesses the best of the crowd this time.
How to Reach?
Una is easily reached via train or bus. This place well connected via railways and roadways to most of the major cities of India. If you want to reach Una via airways you need to board a flight to Chandigarh. The nearest airport is almost 120 km distance from Jalandhar. After reaching Una, you can take a bus or taxi for hire.

Baba Bharbhag Singh was a holy saint and his foundation is called Dera. This Gurudwara is located at the top of hills of this location and looks marvelous by getting covered with eucalyptus trees.
Baba was widely known for his magical powers. People from many parts of India come here to cure their mental sickness by the priests or ‘masands’. In fact, people, whose souls are captured by evil spirits, also brought here for having a cure!
