Simhachalam Temple, originally known as Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Temple, is a famous Hindu temple in Visakhapatnam. This shrine stands on Simhachalam Hill and is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Lord Vishnu is worshiped here in the form of Varaha Narasimha i.e. a human with the head of a boar and tail of a lion. There are numerous legends associated with this shrine. Being a famous temple in Visakhapatnam, it is visited by a large number of devotees from different parts of the country.
