You can reach Wayanad via rail by getting down at the Thalassery Railway Station in the Kannur District (80 km). From here, you can take a bus from here. Those traveling by air can get down at the Calicut International Airport, which is around 106 km from there and take a bus or cab. From Wayanad, you can take a cab or taxi or autos or even local buses to reach Mananthavady for the Begur Wildlife Sanctuary.
