  • Day 1 : Bangkok – Wang Nam Khiew (Korat) by car

    Breakfast at your hotel
    We’re departing from hotel for Wang Nam Khiew District and drive up along the Mittraphap road passing the scenery beautiful views of Lamtraklong Dam and then change the road to drive along Lam Praploeng Dam until arrive at Wang Nam Khiew District. And visiting to Mr. Mushroom farm it is the largest air-conditioned mushroom farm in the North-Eastern of Thailand. Drop off you at the Village Farm & Winery where we will stop at stay here. Check in and relax on your own time afterwards. This village, in the evening, they will include the activities to learn how to make the winery (Available only on Saturday) and dinner will be included and served you afterwards.

  • Day 2 : Wang Nam Khiew – Buriram by car

    Drive up along the Mittraphap road to Korat Fossil Museum to see petrified woods and ancient elephant museum. After that, drive continue into the down town and pass Thao Suranari Monument and next to Phimai Historical Park The most magnificent castle in Thailand is located at Amphur Phimai, Nakornratchasima where the castle is believed to have been be built more than 1,000 years ago by an ancient tribe that is said to have contact with the Khmer Kingdom. Phimai Historical Park was created in the 16 BE. And then visit Sai Ngam, where there are big banyan trees around the bank of the Moon River before we are having at a local restaurant. The lunch will be eating with Korat noodle (Kua Mee) is made from rice. The noodle is thin and soft. Eat with Som Tum Korat. After lunch, we are driving ahead to Phanom Rung Historical Park where is one of Thailand’s most amazing Khmer architecture site, aged over a thousand years old. Built on an extinct volcano, it was originally a Hindu religious site and later became a Buddhist one. Several additions were made during the 15th-18th Buddhist century. And before end of the day, we’ll visit Prasat Muang Tam is located in the Prakorn Chai district of Buriram Province. It is located 8 Kilometers from Prasat Phnom Rung. It is a Hindu religious monument It was constructed for the Hindu god Shiva. It was built to hold religious ceremonies for the surrounding community Archaeological studies have found that communities surrounded Prasat Muang Tam. For example Ban Kok Muang, Kok Yai Khan,Kok Salongthong, ect. Artifacts found include ancient tools and household wares, for example clay bowls and a large amount of pottery. Later on, drive to hotel and check in and then free on your own leisure.

  • Day 3 : Buriram – Surin by car

    We are driving up to Surin downtown and pass the Phaya Surin Pakdee Srinarong Jangwang monument is dedicated to the first Surin town lord, Phraya Surin Phakdi Si Narong Changwang. The antique brass statue is 2.2 meters tall, and holds a curved blade pike in his right hand, a symbol of the lord’s excellent talent in controlling war elephants, as well as Surin’s plentiful elephants since ancient times. And drive continue to Tambon Tha Sawang, Baan Chanrom and Baan Khewasinarin, these villages are widely recognized for utilizing looms with over a hundred heddles to weave gold brocade silk of the highest quality, offered to Her Majesty the Queen as well as previous royal courts. Since its founding, the village has also been tasked with weaving fabric for 21 APEC (Asia Pacific Economic Co-operation) country leaders in 2003. We’ll stop for lunch at a local restaurant before heading to Srikhorphum Castle. It is set of Khmer ruins comprises five pagodas built on the same base. Each is about 30 meters tall. Designs adorn the door columns and lintels. The site was built around the late 11th century. End of the day, we are transfer to hotel and stay in Surin province. Check in and relax on your own leisure.

  • Day 4 : Surin – Si Sa Ket – Ubon Rachathani

    Depart for Si Sa Ket and heading to Kantharalak district to visit Ban Sam Ta Rom Rambutan and Durian Orchard is at Trakat subdistrict, Sisaket province. It is located 60 kilometers away from downtown. The orchard grows a large number of fruits, including rambutan, durian, longkong, mangosteen, mango and pomelo. The products also cover shallot, garlic, pakria and rubber. It is recognized as one of Sisaket’s highly successful agricultural farm and orchard. And then move to Khao Phraviharn Sanctuary. It is s top of the Phanom Dong Rak mountain ranges sits Khao Phra Viharn (Preah Vihear) Sanctuary which is located at Ban Phum Srol, Sao Thong Chai subdistrict, Kantharalak district, Sisaket province. Such area is the overlapping border between Thailand and Cambodia. In the past, it was possible to access Khao Phra Viharn from Thailand, but after a lengthy territorial dispute between Thailand and Cambodia over ownership, any access from Thailand has been restricted and visitors are required to get there via Cambodia. Lunch will be stopping at a local restaurant. After that drive ahead to Ubon Ratchathani province, before end of this day to Ban Yang Noi Arts and Crafts Center, it was founded in 1996, according to the idea of Queen Sirikit. She wanted Ban Yang Noi to develop into an important place for hiring and to be able to increase the income of the villagers both in Ban Yang Noi and in the vicinity, so that the villagers would not have to emigrate and sell their labor outside their community. Inside this arts and crafts center, there are a lot of tourist attractions worth visiting and studying; for example, Model farm for the new theory is the various types of agricultural experimental area for the new theory, such as the cultivation of herbs and chemical-free vegetables, the cultivation of mulberries as silk worm’s feed, the silk production with the quality as good as the Royal Thai Silk and with the granted mark of gold peacock, and the mixing of blended brown rice for enhancing immunity, etc. The tourists will gain knowledge as well as entertainment from these agricultural experiments. We will visit Wat Pa Naphong where is located in Ban Phong Sawang, Non Phueng Sub-district, Warin Chamrap District, Ubon Ratchathani Province. It is a shady and peaceful temple, which is suitable for studying Buddha’s teaching and doing meditation. Besides, Wat Nong Pa Phong is the prototype of over 100 forest temples in Thailand and many of them abroad and also Museum of the temple can be seen here. Later on, drive straight to Ubon Ratchanthani downtown. Check in at hotel and leisure on your own time afterwards.

  • Day 5 : Ubon Ratchani – Kalasin by car

    After breakfast, before departing from Ubon Ratchathani downtown, we are taking you to visit Ubon local Morning Fresh Market is the bank of the Moon River. After that, continue to Wat Thung Si Mueang was constructed during the reign of King Rama III (1824-1851) to houses a replica of Buddha’s footprint. Aside from that, the most beautiful structure in the temple is perhaps the wooden Tripitaka Library (Ho Trai) that was designed to sit on the stilts in the middle of the pool to prevent the materials from insects (ants and termites). The architecture here is a mixture of Laos and Rattankosin styles (Rattanakosin refers to the era after 1782, when Bangkok was the capital of Thailand). Next to the Tripitaka Library is the Ho Phra Buddha Bot and the Wihan (ordination hall). And continue to Kalasin province and stop at Ban Lung Plueang Chairatsami or Khru Plueang, located in Baan Phontong, Tambol Phontong, Amphur Muaeng, Kalasin Province is an Isan folk musical prodigy whose talent is an ability to play and teach almost every kind of Northeastern folk musical instruments, including lute (phin), reed mouth-organ (can), log xylophone (pong lang) and etc. He is considered an expert particularly in “pong lang” because he has spent the total duration of 40 years studying, modifying and improving the indigenous musical instrument. It was developed from “kroa lo” or a tube of bamboo typically used to scare birds or crows in paddy fields, until it was eventually transformed into “pong lang” a musical instrument with a clear and sweet sound. Pong lang gives a sense of authentic Isan, so it gained popularity and is regarded as Isan’s iconic musical instrument equivalent to “reed mouth-organ”. Khru Plueang was declared a national artist in the field of performing art (folk music) in 1986. We are having lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, visiting to Ban Phon Phrae Wa Silk Weaving Group, located in Baan Phon, Amphur Kammuang, this weaving center is renowned for its beautiful hand-woven silks, which are unique to the northeastern Phu Thai minority. The fabrics are made of Mat Mi silk, and boast exemplary workmanship. There are two main patterns: Lai Lak (principal pattern) and Lai Thaep (stripes). Transfer to your hotel. Check in and relax on your own time afterwards.

  • Day 6 : Karasin – Udornthani by car

    After breakfast, and drive pass many villages and views of rice paddy fields from both sides of the road to Udornthani province. Arrived at Udornthani and stop visiting to the Red Lotus Sea, this spectacular site is home to millions of lotus flowers and appropriately named the Red Lotus Sea (blossom at 07.00am – 11.00am), or Talay Bua Daeng. And continue driving to Baan Chiang National Museum is considered one of the most significant archaeological sites in Southeast Asia and was registered as a World Heritage Site in 1992. Excavations at a large, oval mound at the site uncovered pre-historic artifacts, especially pottery and bronze implements. Since the discovery of the site in 1966, the dating of Ban Chiang artifacts has been adjusted and refined over time in line with advances in the understanding and techniques of radiometric dating. This research has revealed that the site dates to as early as 3,500 years ago and that the site was continuously occupied for at least 2,000 years. The discoveries at the site, from both Neolithic and Bronze Age civilizations, have shown it has long been a habitation and burial site. After Baan Chiang, we will drive to Baan Dung district where its famous for the rock salt and there is only one district in the Northeastern of Thailand has the salt paddy field in order to explore and observe how the local people here process the salts to be sold to all around of Thailand. And then, we are driving ahead to Udornthani downtown for having lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, we will visit Udon Sunshine Orchid Farm where garden is a nursery dedicated to Udon Sunshine, a cross between the Vanda and the Josephine Van Berrow orchids. The species, registered with the United Kingdom’s World Orchid Society in 1988, is known for its lovely scent. It is one of the few orchids used to make perfume, branded for sale with its species name. We will end our tour on this day here. Check in and free and relax on your own time afterwards.

  • Day 7 : Udornthani – Nong Khai by car

    This early morning, we will visit explore the Udornthani Dhesaban morning market. You will see the busy life of locals bring local died and fresh foods for selling and the local costs here cheap. After walking in the market, we will take you to eat the famous local dish as Khai Kata or fried eggs mixed pork in the tray and serving with local French bakes. After breakfast, then we will walk back to hotel and leaving for Phu Phrabat Historical Park situated in Ban Phue district, this archeological site features a large number of ancient ruins and objects dating from prehistory. They are mostly from the Dvaravati, Lop Buri, and Lan Xang periods. The site is located in a lush forest called Pa Khua Nam. Within are many rocks of peculiar shapes, the result of a slow-moving glacier millions of years ago. Many of the ruins and objects found in the area were made from the materials found locally, and were not built entirely by hand – for instance, a rock decorated as a stupa, or chiseled into the shape of a foot. Pre-historic cave paintings, sandstone images and idols, and more are interesting sights to behold. The site was declared a historical park by the Fine Arts Department in 1991. We will have some lunch at the historical park’s restaurant and then after lunch and keep continue driving to we will continue to visit Wat Pa Pukon, Udornthani to see the beauty of the white large reclining Buddha image keeps in the temple on the top of mountain. Later, we will continue to visit Arabica and coffee cultivated farms at Vilai’s farm in Baan Pherm where you can taste of some coffee, soup coffees and drip-bag coffees. Besides, you will see banana gardens and rubber trees to see how the locals growing and collecting. And drive along on the rim of the Maekong River stop en route at Wat Pa Tak Seau in Sangkom district for taking some photos of the best view of the Maekhong River’s bank and the beautiful landscape of local villages (we can take a boat sightseeing on the Maekhong River and rock formation after the water shallow during Jan-May) before heading to Nong Khai province. Stop for dinner at Daeng Naemniang Nongkhai famous local restaurant. After dinner, drop off at hotel and check in then relax on your own time afterwards.

  • Day 8 : Nongkhai – Udornthani – Bangkok by flight

    After breakfast, we are checking out and visit Nongkhai Governor’s Residence Museum which is located in the west of the town. This beautiful French colonial building that was once the Governor’s Residence. It was built in 1929 for the provincial commissioner, Yiam Patumthewaphiban and it was last used by the 37th Governor, Suphut Lawansiri who lived here as recently as 2007. The king and queen have visited here for lunch on three occasions. The building features some nice wooden louvers and wooden furniture and is full of photos of previous governors. After that, we are getting on the boat sightseeing along the Maekhong River and cruising to see beautiful views of Thailand and Laos river banks and will pass the 1st Thailand-Laos friendship bridge. And continue to Sala Kaew Ku (also Keoku) sculpture park quirky or just plain bizarre, there’s no denying that it’s Nong Khai’s only “can’t-miss” attraction. The park’s countless dazzling sculptures were the life’s work of Boun Leua Sulilat, a Lao man who spent much of his early life absorbing mystical knowledge from an ascetic hermit named Kaew Ku, who lived in a cave in Laos. Sala Kaew Ku is Sulilat’s impressive attempt to bring this knowledge to life. While the striking depictions draw from a wide range of ancient beliefs, including animist folklore, Hindu mythology and Buddhist traditionalism, the execution is all Sulilat. Later, Continue on to visit Baan Nahee Handicraft Village at Nisachol weaving house and having lunch in style of Laos’s steak. After lunch, we will give you free time to shopping and drive straight to Udornthani Province and drop at Udornthani Airport for taking flight to Bangkok.
