• Day 1 : Transfer from Kigali to Akagera National Park - Game drive & Return to Kigali.

  5:00 Am – Departure from Kigali:
  
  Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Kigali, Rwanda’s vibrant capital. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the scenic drive as you journey towards Akagera National Park, located in the eastern part of the country. The drive from Kigali to Akagera National Park takes approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes. Upon arrival, your driver-guide will assist you with registration at the park reception before embarking on a morning game drive.
  
  Set out on an exhilarating game drive through Akagera’s vast savannah plains, home to an abundance of wildlife. Keep your camera ready as you search for iconic African species, including elephants, giraffes, zebras, Topis, buffaloes, waterbucks, warthogs, hippos, crocodiles, rhinos, bushbucks, roan antelope, duiker, klipspringer, impalas, cape eland, and many more.
  
  Guests also could see an abundance of birdlife, including the rare Stork Shoebill, the endangered papyrus Gonolex and the much sought-after Red-Faced Barbet. With over 500 recorded bird species, Akagera is one of the best birding environs in the world with the highest recorded number of species per unit area.
