Tour Itinerary
Our Professional Tour guides show you the real Outback they love and enjoy so much.
We collect you from outside your Alice Springs accommodation approx 6.00am, a light pack breakfast is provided onboard our comfortable air conditioned coach then off to our first stop at Mount Ebenezer Roadhouse.
We arrive at Yulara approx 11.45am, after a quick stop, a packed lunch is provided while we drive to the World Heritage listed Uluru/Kata-Tjuta National Park.
Kata-Kjuta
We travel to Kata-Kjuta(Olgas) for the first walk of the day into Walpa Gorge, embrace the domes of Kata-Kjuta on your 45 mins walk while taking in the views of the open plains on your return walk.
Aboriginal Cultural Centre
We then head back to Uluru national park and visit the Aboriginal Cultural Centre, at the centre you will have time to learn about the local Pitjantjatjara people and buy some souvenirs. The Cultural centre was built with 90,000 mud bricks with the help of the local Anangu people, it is built on a sacred site and has very special meaing to the local Anangu people.
Uluru - Mala Walk
We head to the base of Uluru/Ayers Rock next to the extrance to the climb, from here one of the two guides will take you on the Mala guided walk next to the Uluru climb entrance, The mala walk follows the north-west side of Uluru. There are many fine examples of Anangu rock art along this walk, and you can experience the sheer vertical walls, the guide will tell stories of the Anangu People.
Uluru - Mutitjulu WaterHole
We drive from the front of Uluru around to Kuniya carpark(back of Uluru) from here we start our second guided walk to the Mutitjula waterhole, the guide will take you along a short track to the Mutitjulu waterhole, home of a wanampi, an ancestral watersnake. The guide will explain about some of the local tradition and how the Anangu people would use the waterhole for hunting. The caves containing rock art were used in the past by Anangu still alive today.
The Sunset BBQ
From here we head to the one of the best highlights of the day, The Uluru sunset with an Aussie BBQ, watch the majestic Uluru change colour with a glass of bubbly and good Aussie tucker(food).
