Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival at Guwahati Airport/Railway Station

  In the morning our Urgent Travel’s representative will pick you up from Guwahati Airport/Railway Station/Hotel and then drive you to visit Kamakhya temple. After offering your prayers to Mata Ji and doing the rituals at the temple you will be driven to the Brahmaputra river bank. From there you will be sailed to the world’s smallest river island, Peacock Island. There you can visit the Umananda temple. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Then after you offer prayers and do all rituals to Lord Shiva you will be returned. Then you will be driven to India’s long ropeway over the river. There you will experience the scenic views of the river Brahmaputra and the surrounding green hills and also the Guwahati city. After then you have your lunch at some of the prime restaurants in Guwahati city such as Paradise, Khorika, Missing Kitchen, and Delicacy, where you can have an ethnic taste of Assamese Thali and if you want to enjoy South Indian tastes you can have your lunch at Chennai Kitchen. After your lunch in the afternoon, you will drive to the Brahmaputra River Heritage Centre. After visiting it, you will drive to visit Assam State Zoo, Science Museum, Frozen Planet, Artificial Haunted House at Central Mall (for children’s amusement), Balaji and Deepor Beel. After visiting there you will be returned back to Fancy Bazar, where you will be delighted with the river cruise which will sail you over the river Brahmaputra. There you can enjoy music and food at the cruise which will give you immense joy to mark the evening as a memorable one. Then you will be driven to the hotel.

• Day 2 : Guwahati 100 Kms

  Today in the morning after breakfast you will be driven to the Geeta Mandir at the hilltop of Geeta Nagar. After visiting it you will drive to Gandhi Mandap to visit which is situated at the hilltop of Sarania Hill. Then you will be driven to the ISKON temple at South Sarania hilltop. Then have your lunch at any restaurants mentioned earlier, if you want to taste some ethnic food of Assam or South India. Otherwise, you can have your lunch as per your wish. After lunch, you will be driven to the Assam State Museum and after visiting it you will be driven to Bhupen Hazarika Samadhi Khetra (Memorial Tomb). After visiting all these you will drive to the Buddhist monastery at Joi Guru a place near IIT Guwahati in North Guwahati. While going there you will have a good experience in nature as you can see the eyes’ touching view of green hills ahead while passing over the Saraighat bridge over the river Brahmaputra. After reaching the monastery, you can watch a giant statue of Lord Buddha at the hill. After visiting it, you can return to Guwahati city and our representative will drop you at the airport/railway station/hotel.
