WHAT TO EXPECT
Gorilla Trekking:This is an active safari with moderate to strenuous hikes during gorilla trekking. Participants must be at least 15 years old, and should be physically fit. While tracking primates, guests will trek through thick jungle at elevations ranging up to 10,000 feet, for as many as eight hours, depending on the location of the primates. Treks can be arduous; and the terrain can be steep, uneven, wet, and muddy. This trip is not suitable for those who suffer from a cardiac, respiratory, or circulatory disorder or a disability that limits mobility.
Birdwatching Safaris: Few things out there are more relaxing than bird watching. On a bird safari, you’ll be able to do just that. Maybe you are interested in a rare bird species, or you simply want to marvel at the beauty of birds in a rain forest or jungle. There are a lot of bird watching safaris where on top of observing other animals, you have the chance to enjoy birding.
Giraffe Safaris: Have you ever wondered just how enormous giraffes are in person? Wonder no further for a giraffe safari will satisfy your curiosity! Day 1 : Arriival
Arrival at Entebbe Airport where you will be welcomed by a Mushra Travel Agency staff and transferred to your accommodation in Entebbe. Overnight at Lake Victoria Serena Resort. (Accommodation can be downgraded to Midrange or Budget)
Day 2 : Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast, we will drive through Kampala City center en route to Murchison Falls. It’s a long trip; we will make two stops for snacks, lunch and also make a stop at the Rhino Sanctuary. We will get to Murchison Falls late afternoon. Relax and have your lunch with magnificent views of the river Nile. Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge. (Accommodation can be downgraded to Midrange or Budget)
Day 3 : Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast, the day starts with a game drive on the northern bank of the Nile to look for lions, elephants, giraffes, hartebeest and different bird species. In the afternoon , a boat cruise on the river Nile for game viewing in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge. (Accommodation can be downgraded to Midrange or Budget)
Day 4 : Murchison Falls National Park - Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast, you will transfer to Kibale Forest National Park. You will be received by a Mushra Travel Agency representative at the Hotel. Dinner and overnight at Primate Lodge Kibale safari tents. (Accommodation can be downgraded to Midrange or Budget)
Day 5 : Kibale Forest National Park
Day 5 starts with exciting chimp trekking. Enjoy a guided nature walk in the tropical rainforest in search of the chimpanzee, red-tailed monkey, black-and-white colobus monkey and many others. You can also opt for the Chimpanzee Habituation Experience. Chimpanzee Habituation Experience offers you the unique experience spend an entire day with the chimps, follow their daily activities, learn more about their way of life. Day 6 : Kibale Forest National Park - Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast on day 4, we transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. We drive through beautiful landscapes and see crater lakes. Have lunch at 13:00hr, take a lunch break and go on a game drive in search of the first wildlife; waterbucks and elephants, including warthogs, buffaloes. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge. (Accommodation can be downgraded to Midrange or Budget)
Day 7 : Queen Elizabeth National Park
Start the morning with a game drive. We search for lions, elephants, buffaloes and other wild animals in their natural habitat before returning for lunch. In the afternoon, a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. Watch out for hundreds of bird species that can be sighted , elephants, buffaloes and hundreds of hippos that are cooling off at the shores, this cruise will definitely be one of the highlights of your safari. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge. (Accommodation can be downgraded to Midrange or Budget)
Day 8 : Queen Elizabeth National Park - Bwindi Forest National Park
After breakfast , we will transfer to the home of the endangered mountain gorillas, Bwindi. Dinner and overnight at Mahogany Springs. (Accommodation can be downgraded to Midrange or Budget)
Day 9 : Gorilla trekking
This is the best part of your safari: a meeting with the Mountain Gorillas! Expect to walk a long distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any gorillas. Dinner and overnight at Mahogany Springs. (Accommodation can be downgraded to Midrange or Budget)
Day 10 : Bwindi National Park - Entebbe - Departure
After breakfast, head back to Kampala driving through Kampala, Mbarara and have lunch at Igongo Cultural Center.
