Day 2 : Arusha - Tarangire National Park
After an early breakfast, we’ll depart for Tarangire National Park, named after the Tarangire River that flows through the heart of the park. This vital river, known as the "river of warthogs," serves as the primary water source for wildlife during the dry season. The park’s diverse landscapes include dense vegetation, such as elephant grass, acacia woodlands, and lush groundwater forests. Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant herds, often seen gathering by the river, but it’s also home to giraffes, bushbucks, hartebeests, and a variety of predators like lions and leopards. The park boasts the highest concentration of breeding bird species found anywhere in the world.
After an exciting game drive and a delicious lunch, we’ll head to our lodge for a relaxing dinner and an overnight stay, ready for another thrilling day of safari adventures tomorrow.
Day 3 : Lake Manyara National Park
After an early breakfast, we’ll set off for Lake Manyara NP, a pristine paradise renowned for its vibrant birdlife and the unique spectacle of tree-climbing lions. The park is bordered to the west by the dramatic Rift Valley escarpment and to the east by the shallow, alkaline Lake Manyara, which fluctuates in size with the seasons. During the rains, the lake is home to thousands of flamingos. The name "Manyara" comes from the Maasai word ‘emanyara,’ referring to a plant used to build protective enclosures around homesteads (bomas).
The park’s diverse landscapes range from savannah to evergreen forests, providing habitats for a variety of wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffalo, and elephants. If you're fortunate, you may even spot lions lounging in the trees—a rare and memorable sight.
After a delicious lunch and an exciting game drive, we’ll make our way to our lodges in Karatu for dinner and a peaceful overnight stay, ready for another day of adventure.
Day 4 : Ngorongoro Crater
After an early breakfast, we’ll begin our descent into the Ngorongoro Crater, a stunning caldera nearly 600 meters deep. Formed two to three million years ago when a massive volcano exploded and collapsed in on itself, the Crater is famous for its geological beauty and its status as a natural reserve. It is home to some of the densest populations of large mammals found anywhere on the African continent.
The drive down into the Crater is an adventure in itself, with breathtaking views. Once on the floor of the Crater, you’ll find yourself surrounded by vast herds of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and more than 500 species of birds. The Crater offers one of the best opportunities to spot the endangered black rhino, which can sometimes be seen grazing in the open grasslands.
After a delicious lunch and an exciting game drive within the Crater, we’ll continue to explore this incredible natural wonder.
Day 5 : Serengeti national park
After an early breakfast, we’ll depart for Serengeti National Park, one of the most spectacular wildlife destinations in the world. Known for its endless open grasslands, the Serengeti offers unparalleled wildlife viewing opportunities. As Tanzania’s oldest national park, it is also one of the most ancient ecosystems on Earth, with its climate and vegetation largely unchanged for millions of years.
While the Serengeti is home to a vast array of wildlife, it is most renowned for the Great Migration. Every year, millions of wildebeest, along with large herds of zebras and antelope, follow a predictable route in search of fresh grazing, their movements driven by seasonal rainfall patterns.
After a delicious lunch and an exciting game drive, we’ll make our way to our tented partner lodges for a relaxing dinner and overnight stay. You will spend two nights in this extraordinary place, fully immersed in the natural beauty of the Serengeti.
